paragon sushi tei. everything is great except the lighting for photography. (and i knowww right. like whats with the sudden jap food posts. thanks to birthday boy man)

and this dessert is an eye opener! must go try first-hand. you have to dip the caramel-sugar coated yam/pumpkin into the ice water (or syrup?) really quickly before it hardens and sticks on your chopsticks. i still dont understand why the caramel sugar thingy hardens so quickly.

we had makis, handrolls, goyzas, softshell crab (which i thought tasted more like kfc), meat and your usuals. was alright. but service was... worse than terrible?

too bright

we went to equinox sometime ago. think it was 3rd dec. for my bro's 21st and i guess my 21st and 22nd. had preferred/wanted it to be a simple family affair, but views differed and it was the 6 of us.

lots of seafoood. and so many types of cheese!!!

foie gras. possibly the first and last time i'll be tricked into eating it. no idea whats so nice bout it, just tasted like lots of fats to me (cue puking sensation).

beef is beef. done ever so nicely with the right skills.
i've always loved to be able to scoop and decorate my own ice cream. (: overall food was pretty average. any hotel could have offerred similar fare. i guess what contributes to the price and hype would be the ambience and the scenery and of cos, the lvl of service.

it should look better with night lights. and feel better with flickering candle lights.

u can tell its the recession when its held at suntec and not some fancy hotel. but i guess the good news they gave sort of made up for that (jetstar, millenium&corpthorne, capital mall vouchers for everyone; and the consideration of a firmwide upward salary revision) for more photos, pls click here.

last sunday. my nephew's 1st month...

love it when babies yawn and grab your finger whenever you put it between their fingers. (:

digress: i kinda like the wall clock.and bbq at night!!! the chinese assoc peeps. did new moon yesterday. somehow bella appeared to be prettier than i remembered her to be in twilight. i think its kinda draggy at all the wrong scenes and too skimpy for the rest.. trying to cover every scene in the book i guess. boo. tradition's tradition.

six thirty am. the start of 21k.

for the first 4k, i was thinking where i shld stop and head home.

for the next 17k, i felt like i wanted to finish the marathon. the volunteers were awesome! all those shouts of encouragement. and it felt good to litter legally (i.e. throwing the cups of evian/100plus by the side of the roads)!

other random phrases. i think the road markers were lying cos everytime they indicate 1 km more, i felt like i have ran more than that! after the finish line. pity i forgot to take the start point!! boo. pardon the blur photos. didnt realise there was a fog/sweat spot on my phone's cam..

so the marathon has taught me how to persevere (cliche as it sounds), how to tune out people's irritating noises (e.g. breathing heavily, dragging feet on road, timing beeps), how to push body limits and most importantly, how to concentrate on running my own race. (:
