a lil faith

so the firm had a halloweeeeen party. or rather, a ntu alumni party. 99.9% were sch mates. the night started off ZZzzZZzz. food was not bad though. probably 'cos i forgot to order dinner and was starving.
this is what happens when drinks are free flow.

// and i wish you really meant it.

post bun era

nothing interesting has been gg on. just another afternoon rendezvous.
current favvvv. seafood aglio olio.
some chicken pumpkin tomato thingy.
people come people go. if only we can take it all in our stride. anddd major dilemma now. sometimes, when u're not given what u have chosen, u rationalise to remove the cognitive dissonance. then when things are going nice and well, u are given a choice to have it back.

pink lady

friday. floorball celebration @ aston's. we should do harry's after work more often.
saturday race pack collection + macritchie run. oh the cross country days. andd it was sucha good day to get tan.
the whole place was so picturesque!
din tai fung (+ 1000 xiao long baos) for dinner!
jf's belated. awfully choc.
and prawning after!!! first catch of the day.
it was damn gross to have to hold on to the body and pincers and pull the hook out from the mouth, all while the prawn squirms. (and it gets worse... read on)
prawns aplenty.
we had to kill the prawns alive. by 1) grabbing their feelers to get them out of the net (while the other prawns struggle. can u imagine the emotional battle?!) 2) pulling their pincers out 3) poking the satay stick through the tail to head. should totally have taken a video. tons of screaming and throwing of prawns.
this photo is so wrong. we shouldnt be smiling. :(
after much sinning and being laughed at, we did get the work done. not to mention, set up our own bbq. forgot to take photos with the final product. they were so goood (no one ls-ed!). but guilt nonetheless. its like raising your pet chick and then slaughtering it for a meal.

production status meeting tmr. boo.

anybody out there

nothing beats having the day off. (except maybe sleeping in on a rainy day) eating brunch, nuahing and strolling down town like as if nothing in the world matters. (but alas sunday/monday awaits)
i know i know. finally a non-food-only photo right.. hearty breakfast. i think my wild blueberry looks 1000x nicer. outside taka. Jewel fest? damn atas. and surprisingly, they even bothered attending to us me (tested and proven that gender was not an issue). heeren+cine+arcade feels like cj all over again. and walking off the fats plus an almost impulsive bag buying from here <-- damn cool shop concept. go check out! who can resist desserts? sticky date and sea salt caramel. friendliest waiter was there too! (my angst towards marmalade is comparable to that of sand and her all time low) random fact of the day: borrowed 4 chic flicks from the libray. the return of the bookworm!
and this blog is quite interesting too.

moon biscuit

what i've been doing all week.
with the korea pple. unique food. they have one of the best green teas ever. (kiv group photo)
lunch at some hk cha chan teng. so cuteeee?
nice food at reasonable prices. definitely one of the few uncommercialised places. service could improve, but that also explains why there's no service charge. their bread pudding rocks.
ohhh and we discovered a secret boutique/hideout. their stocks are so limited, you dont have to worry spotting someone else in the same piece. the salesgirl was super hyper and she had alot of personality! and that place is super retro looking! pity i forgot to take a pic of it. not to mention there was a cat looming around (eww?). but one thing, they accept only cash.
random night view. pendulum in the distance. random thoughts. good busker music in the alley. loner walks rock too.

//and so the saying goes. we never knew what we had, till we lose them all.
