of hongbaos, oranges, poker and mj

what is cny without a lion dance performance?
need to steal the dog right NOW
isnt it kind of weird (or unique if u want) to have a colonial-like house at the bottom, connected to a modern contemporary structure?
to kickstart the rat year, we have a baby surviving a tornado, the death of an orang utan, and an inaugural flight on the singapore flyer! (kkkk i know its abit out of place. but i just have to put this in! somewhere, anywhere.)
anddddddd its back to school!

wsc outing!

at riverside indonesian restaurant (credits go to chris!)
spying on small kids as usual.
one of my fav pics out of the bunch. lurve the blurred lights effect (what's it called?)
my lousy photoshop cannot make the pic brighter! sors!
went to chinatown to soak in the festive mood!
(literally drenched in sweat)
second fav photo! lurveee the multicoloured light reflections! playing with sparkles at boat quay!

the heart shape is me! :)

yayness to slow shutter!

last note: just wanted to say that being optimistic goes a long way. pessimism only fuels depression. everyone's life isnt perfect, so maybe if u try to see it from a different perspective, it aint that bad after all. and seriously, contemplating suicide is just being extremely irresponsible.

concrete jungle

more pics of The school. since its all im seeing anyways.

A picture doesn't lie -- the one-hundred-and-five-story Ryugyong Hotel is hideous, dominating the Pyongyang skyline like some twisted North Korean version of Cinderella's castle. It's the world's 22nd largest skyscraper has been vacant for two decades and is likely to stay that way ... forever.

Green Nirvana or White Elephant

the tanglin entrance
you actually have to pay an entrance fee to see a few orchids.
but i guess its the major attraction there.
vanda miss joaqium. the national flower.
i thought it should look more appealing.. the only unusual thing is the height. oh wells..
shaw foundation symphony stage. surrounded by a lily pond.
personal fav out of the exhibits.
ever been inside a waterfall? .. although this one's manmade.
swan lake. nice and quiet. and isolated.
like the tall trees! but i felt that they didnt put enough emphasis on introducing the various species. the signboards were really just boards.
thats the singapore botanic gardens for you!
there were much more greenery than flora (and fauna was mia).. expected to see alot of flowers in bloom. apparently there were less than a handful. just an over rated park. but there were still quite a number of tourists, exercising individuals and families.
saw pple taking wedding photos there, would be a nice setting....
great place for a picnic too!
think i should try the newly opened HortPark. and the keppel bridge!
and.. it's monday again. :(
