the europe post

finally. i got down to doing it.
(incidentally this is the 200th post)

roma airport. vatican city. st peter's basilica ancient colosseum. gladiators and stuff. Fountain De Trevi. throw a coin and u'll be back.Piazza di Spagna (spanish steps) Florence. view from above.italian dinner. leaning tower of pisa! it was so much shorter than i thought it is! the work of technology.didnt add special effects to this shot. it just turned out like that. nice!Venicest mark's basilicasitting on the gondola, cruising through the canals. nice vibe.Innsbruck, Austria.golden roof.Liechtenstein. Schloss Vaduz castle.the actual castle on high land.

Lucern, Switzerland. chapel bridge. popping champagne while freezing my *** off.some lion monument. forgot the story. Rheinfalls. one of europe's largest waterfalls. Germany Blackforest cukoo clock. and where blackforest cake came from.Koln. where cologne originated from. the first being 4711.Amsterdam. buildings are slightly tilted due to their weak foundation. and house boats line the canals. replica of the queen's crown. bejeweled~ what is holland w/o their clogs. and cheese. and windmills.and infamous red light district.the buildings look almost like they're from a cartoon.Brussels, Belgium.also where chocs are the cheapest! Paris! river seine cruise almost looks like it was snowing. proven to be the most romantic city.arc de triomphe (in commemoration of the battles napolean won)notre dame nicest shopping mall ever!!!!!! (besides being able to get all your brands under 1 roof) louvre museumlargest LV store. like seriously the whole building.the only white+gold MacD, to match the whole champs elysee theme.champs elysee. like orchard road. only more upper class.
"diamonds on the left, rubies on the right"
la defense grande arche. paris is built in symmetry. this arch is in the same line as arc de triomphe and the arch (as above) at champs elysee. which is also in line with the louvre. i think its very fascinating.was difficult to use cos the placing of some alphabets are different from ours! eurostar! towards London.chinatown.

on the left, tiniest store in london.
public toilets.tower bridge. on the contrary, london bridge is nothing spectacular at all.westminister abbey.buckingham palace.the queen.oxford street. bond street. mayfair. exactly like in monopoly! smth like orchard road too.london eye by night. our hotel was so convenient! like a stone's throw away from all major attractions!big ben. (which is actually the nickname of the bell inside the clock tower)london eye by day.
trafalgar square

mandarin kitchen peking duck. rockkks. pls go try!
lobster noodle. huge lobster meat! reasonable price.
the train station. like how "traditional" it is.
harrods. ginormous.
there were so many different depts and all of them were so exaggeratedly decorated. even nice is an understatement. definitely a must go!
london airport. after being to so many airports, not only europe per se, i finally understand why changi airport is considered the best in the world.
new 19inch lcd!
A380. the cabin crew were damn free, they actually volunteered to take photos with us.
back to sunny sg. temp checks at the airport.

as you would probably have known by now, the cities i would most likely visit again would be paris and london! very very convenient. i can totally lead a tour group there. hahah. and i like the vibe they exude. switzerland is very picturesque & u can get lots of postcard worthy pics, but i dont think i can live there for long. amsterdam is an eye opener, go see van gogh! every corner in italy/florence/venice is a monument/ancient structure, and the whole city is loaded with lots of history. different kind of vibe. blackforest is ok, would like to visit more of germany though (and spain/barcelona/prague.. eastern europe)!

for more pics, pls see europe1 and europe2. for videos i took (pls mute the thing. voice sounds weird), see http://www.youtube.com/user/wenstar28
